Photo Album - Quilts

Here are a few of the quilts I have made. I'll post more as I find more photos - I lost a lot when the computer crashed - 2.5 years worth in fact.

A dolly quilt and pillow made from scraps for one of my nieces.

A wall-hanging from a pattern in Homespun or Quilter's Companion  Magazine, made for a special friend.

This quilt was made for SMD using scrap strips from other projects.  It is a lap size.

I made this one for J4, starting before he was born.  I bought the kit on special from The Quilter's Store. It is all flannel, so really cosy & warm.  The pillow (called Piyyo) has become one of J4's security items.

The hand & footprints were taken when my friend's daughter Erika was just a month old.
A Jacobean inspired quilt begun in a workshop with my quilt group.  It is all needle turn applique and hand quilted.  the centre design was given to us, the top & bottom borders I designed myself.  And of course all colour choices are mine.

This is the quilt that I made for J6 prior to his birth.  I had two panels with the different size pictures on.  The layout design is mine - the maths was lots of fun!
The friendship quilt.  The outside blocks were made by members of my quilt group.  I made the four inner ones.  I gave everyone the purple fabric & the basket pattern  I requested Amish inspired colours and whatever they liked to put in the baskets.  The plan was that I would hand quilt it - but it has waited about 9 years now and I don't think it is going to happen.  So I am unpicking the stabilising machine stitch-in-the-ditch so I can take it to a professional & get it finished off.  It is pretty big, the blocks are all 12inch, making it over 8 foot across the diagonal.

And this is the back.  A strippy quilt from fabrics I had in my stash.
